Stipends are limited to activities involving animal breeding.

The conditions for a short stay are:

  • The student is registered with an approved university or polytechnical school. Students who are not registered also may apply, but in that case applicants should provide proof of their qualifications.
  • There is a study programme agreed by the student and the supervisor at Wageningen University. Note that it is important for the home university to recognize the educational activities at Wageningen University.

The conditions for MSc training:

  • The applicant needs to meet entry requirements, as specified by Wageningen University.
  • Students who participate in the European Master in Animal Breeding and Genetics (EM-ABG) are required to spend one year at Wageningen University and one year at one of the other European universities that participate in the EM-ABG.
  • Students need to write a convincing motivation letter.



The application consists of a curriculum vitae, a letter of motivation and a detailed description of the objectives of the training period and letters of support.

The deadline for scholarship application for the 2-year MSc course is March 30. The Board of Koepon Stichting will take a decision before May which should give students sufficient time to make necessary arrangements to start in the new academic year, normally around 1 September.
